STICK WELDER

Location: Lancaster, WI

Pay: $22+/hr (based on experience)

Shift: 1st Shift

We are seeking a skilled Stick Welder to join a manufacturing team producing modular and manufactured homes. This role involves fabricating and assembling steel components such as frames, supports, and structural elements in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on steel frames and components (primary process)

• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings

• Fabricate, position, and secure structural parts for home chassis and framing

• Operate welding equipment safely and efficiently

• Inspect welds to ensure quality, strength, and accuracy

• Perform industrial painting on fabricated components and structures using spray equipment and other painting tools

• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking materials

• Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment, paint systems, and production machinery

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

• Follow OSHA and company safety standards

• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with MIG welding (Stick welding experience preferred)

• Ability to read and use measuring tools (tape measure, square, etc.)

• Basic blueprint reading skills

• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous welding experience in manufacturing or construction

• AWS certification or similar (preferred but not required)

• Experience working in a production environment
