Hospital Phlebotomist

Labcorp seeks a phlebotomist for a hospital-based role in Portland, Oregon, performing blood collections and specimen processing on a rotating night shift schedule. The position requires a high school diploma with preferred phlebotomy experience or certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses
• Prepare and process collected specimens for laboratory testing
• Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs with accuracy
• Process billing information and provide exceptional customer service to patients

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification from accredited agency or completed training program
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 1+ years phlebotomy experience preferred
• 2+ years inpatient phlebotomy experience preferred
