Join our dynamic pet care team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and talent for pet styling come together to create happy, healthy, and beautifully groomed dogs. In this energetic role, you will deliver top-notch grooming services while building trusting relationships with pet owners. Your expertise in animal handling, grooming techniques, and pet care will ensure every dog leaves looking and feeling their best. This paid position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on pets and their families every day.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and pet coat styling tailored to each dog’s breed and individual needs
• Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures
• Perform pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, brushing, and other grooming tasks with precision and care
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and offer advice on pet coat maintenance and overall care
• Maintain a clean, organized grooming area by sanitizing tools and equipment regularly
• Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring animals are calm and comfortable throughout the process
• Support additional animal care activities such as light veterinary assistance or basic health assessments when needed

Requirements

• Proven experience - minimum of 5 years - in pet grooming, including dog handling and animal restraint techniques
• Knowledge of pet coat styling, pet nail trimming, and general animal care practices
• Background in veterinary experience, veterinary technician or assistant roles is a plus
• Strong communication skills to engage with pet owners professionally and empathetically
• Ability to lift heavy objects such as large dogs or equipment safely and comfortably
• Experience with animal handling across various species is advantageous but not mandatory
• A dedicated team player with a passion for animal welfare and customer service excellence

Qualifications

• Professional dog grooming experience required - minimum of 5 years.
• Cat grooming experience preferred.
• Strong animal handling skills.
• Positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills.
• Dependable, professional, and team-oriented.
• Compassionate, confident, and calm around dogs of all breeds.
