Site Supervisor
$984 - $1,093 per weekTrackers Earth
As a Site Supervisor with Trackers, you own the full operation of a day camp location - setting culture, running administration, and developing the team that delivers the experience that has made us the Best Camp in the Known Universe. You're not just running logistics; you're holding the standard for a camp where kids learn archery, have story adventures, train in wilderness survival, practice woodcraft, create in ceramics, go boating, and apprentice in blacksmithing. If that program genuinely excites you, you'll bring something to this role that no operations resume alone can replicate.
We are an action-packed, fast-paced old school outdoor and craft program. We value competence-building field education where kids earn confidence through real adventure and challenge. Trackers operates with clear safety systems, time-tested procedures, and an intricate camp environment few organizations match-the kind of strong container where serious practitioners thrive. Who You Are You've supervised large-scale day camps, educational centers, and childcare programs before. You know what it takes to hold a site with high enrollment, rotating families, and a team of people all needing direction at once. You're not figuring out how day camp operations work, you're bringing that fluency here and learning how to deliver it the Trackers way at a high level of skill and intentionality. You are organized, direct, and steady under pressure. You coach adults as naturally as you manage logistics. You set the tone for your site's culture by living it, not by posting it on a wall. If you want to bring your operational experience into a program that actually stands for something, you'll find your people here. Choose Your Track- Adventure: Lead outdoor programs to forests, rivers, and farms, teaching wilderness survival, tracking, archery, fishing, and folk craft, often within story adventures that include secret agents, ninjas, wizards, elves, and more.
- Basecamp: Lead onsite classes including tabletop role-playing games, archery instruction, learn-to-bike, art and maker crafts, and hands-on camps built around teams, missions, and skill development.
- Day camp or childcare operations: 3+ years in a lead or supervisory role at a large-scale day camp, childcare center, after-school program, or youth recreation program with demonstrated responsibility for staff, families, and site operations
- Administrative fluency: Direct experience with payroll processing, staff scheduling and attendance tracking, enrollment management, or equivalent operations administration
- Staff development: Demonstrated ability to coach, evaluate, and hold accountable a team of 10 or more staff across varying experience levels
- Program implementation: You don't just manage logistics-you understand curriculum, instruction quality, and what it looks like when a program is being delivered well versus drifting
- Family and customer service: You communicate professionally with parents and guardians under pressure, de-escalate effectively, and build trust with families across a full season
- Certifications (preferred): Current CPR/First Aid, Lifeguard or Wilderness First Aid a plus; childcare administrator credentials or Director Qualified status a plus
- Background check: Must pass state and federal background clearance per childcare program requirements
- Administration: Process weekly payroll, manage staff scheduling and daily attendance, maintain enrollment records and licensing documentation, and keep site compliance current. You own the paperwork that keeps the site running legally and cleanly.
- Family and Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for parent and guardian concerns at your site. Communicate proactively about student needs, resolve complaints with professionalism and authority, and build the kind of family trust that drives retention and referrals.
- Safety: Hold site-wide situational awareness across all programs, students, staff, and conditions. Ensure Coordinators are making sound calls, intervene early on risk, and own the emergency response chain. You are the final safety decision-maker on site.
- Operations: Oversee the day as a multi-track live operation. Audit flow, transitions, staffing ratios, vehicle and gear readiness, and schedule integrity across all groups. Identify and close gaps before they affect program quality.
- Staff Leadership: Hire, onboard, schedule, coach, and evaluate your site team. Conduct regular feedback conversations, document performance issues, and develop Coordinators into stronger leaders. You build the team; the team builds the program.
- Culture: You are the culture. Set the standard for how Trackers shows up-in instruction quality, in care for kids, in how staff treat each other and families. Your site reflects your leadership.
- Program Implementation: Ensure Trackers programming is delivered with fidelity and skill across all tracks. You understand what good looks like and you coach toward it, not just compliance.
