Position Purpose: The Operations Manager at the Company plays a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and accurate management of warehouse functions, including the supervision of drivers, loaders, and warehouse staff. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of dispatch operations, inventory control, and customer service to facilitate prompt and precise delivery of products to job sites. By collaborating with the Branch Manager and maintaining strict adherence to safety and operational standards, the Operations Manager supports the seamless execution of branch operations, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction in alignment with the company's strategic objectives. - Direct and oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of building materials in alignment with corporate standards.
- Manage and coordinate the dispatching of trucks to guarantee timely and accurate deliveries to job sites, optimizing routes for safe and effective transportation by properly utilizing SRS routing technology
- Supervise the loading and unloading processes, ensuring prompt and precise handling of orders for vendors and customers, while maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Implement and manage comprehensive inventory control measures, including purchasing, weekly cycle counts, pricing strategies, and the evaluation of damaged or outdated stock, to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Lead and conduct safety audits and meetings to ensure full compliance with company safety standards, fostering a secure and hazard-free work environment.
- Oversee the maintenance and operational readiness of all logistics equipment, including tractors, trailers, and forklifts, to ensure uninterrupted service delivery.
- Administer and track work hours for the drivers and warehouse staff to ensure proper task allocation and adherence to labor regulations.
- Collaborate with the Branch Manager to support overall branch operations, including order processing, end-of-day balancing, and facilitating continuous improvement initiatives across all functional areas.

- Advanced Leadership and Management Experience: Demonstrated experience in leading multi-faceted warehouse operations with a focus on optimizing team performance and operational efficiency in the building materials or construction supply industry.
- Strategic Planning and Implementation Expertise: Proven track record in strategic planning and execution, with the ability to develop and implement operational strategies that drive productivity and process improvements.
- Comprehensive Knowledge of Logistics and Supply Chain: Extensive understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles, including inventory management, distribution, and vendor relations, to enhance overall operational effectiveness.
- Proficiency in Advanced ERP Systems: Proficient in utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for inventory control and management, providing real-time data analytics to inform decision-making.
- Safety and Compliance Leadership: Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards, with the ability to conduct effective safety audits and lead initiatives to uphold workplace safety and operational adherence to legal requirements.
- Financial Acumen and Budget Management: Strong financial management skills with experience in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and cost control to ensure the profitability and sustainability of operations.
- Exceptional Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex operational challenges and implement innovative solutions that align with business objectives and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Robust Network with Local Vendors and Suppliers: Established relationships with local vendors and suppliers in the building materials sector, facilitating efficient procurement and strong negotiation capabilities.

- Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience and/or training in operations management.
- Practical experience in warehouse, distribution center, shipping, or receiving environments with comparable responsibilities.
- Experience within the roofing industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Forklift Certification - Preferred.
- Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Preferred.
- Possession of relevant professional certifications such as Certified Operations Manager (COM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) is advantageous.
- Leadership and Supervisory Skills: Demonstrate strong leadership abilities in guiding and managing warehouse staff, ensuring efficient operations, and fostering a collaborative team environment. Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining accountability and performance standards.
- Inventory and Resource Management: Possess expertise in inventory control processes, including purchasing, cycle counts, and disposition of damaged stock. Employ precise management techniques to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely order processing.
- Logistics and Dispatch Coordination: Exhibit proficiency in coordinating the dispatching of trucks for timely deliveries, optimizing routes, and maintaining an efficient supply chain operation. Utilize knowledge of local delivery areas to enhance delivery accuracy and timeliness.
- Safety Compliance and Standards Enforcement: Ensure adherence to safety protocols within the warehouse environment by conducting regular audits and safety meetings. Oversee the maintenance of equipment, such as forklifts, to comply with safety standards.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Acumen: Apply strong analytical skills to evaluate operational challenges and develop strategic solutions. Utilize problem-solving aptitude to enhance efficiency and mitigate operational risks.
