Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM Experience: • 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months. • 3 months of travel experience is required. • Experience with Meditech is preferred. Requirements: • Candidates must have a license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted. • COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. • 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Phoebe Putney. Additional Details: References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Required Skills/Experience: - Critical care experience required. - Minimum 1 prior travel contract. - 300+ bed experience required. - Must have intubation experience and be comfortable being first line for intubations. - Must be able to work adult ICU, manage vents, read ABGs, and alert critical values. - For floor assignments, minimum 1 year experience; for critical care assignments, minimum 2 years. Required Credentials: - NRP required for NICU assignments. Special Requests: - Strict 75-mile radius rule. Unit Details: - RTs are first line for intubations during codes; hospitalist support responds to codes. - Average workload is 550 treatment minutes per shift, about 15 minutes per treatment, with 13-15 patients per shift. - Adult assignments may include pediatric through adult patients; NICU RTs are separate from adult assignments. - Duties include nebs, airway management, Vapotherm, Bi PAP, CPAP, vents, ABG collection, bedside PFTs, CPT, blood gas management, intubation, bronchs, and A-line placement in ICU. - Uses Servo vents (U and I models). - Common patient populations and disease processes include COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, and cancers. - ICU assignments can include up to 4 airways per therapist. - May run charge and clinical coordinator duties.
