Onsite | Denton, TX| Full-Time | In-Office with Local Travel to Client Sites

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING:

•  This position is NOT remote. This role is based out of our office in Denton, TX, with some travel to client sites throughout the greater Denton and DFW area. Applicants seeking remote work will not be considered.

•  Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required. On-site client visits are a core part of this job, not an occasional task. Mileage is reimbursed.

•  Background check required. Due to our support contracts with law enforcement agencies, all candidates must successfully pass a government-required background check as a condition of employment.

POSITION SUMMARY:

We’re hiring a client-focused IT Support Technician to handle Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for our growing client base, both remotely and onsite. You don’t need to know everything on day one - we’re looking for someone with a strong technical foundation who is eager to learn our processes, tools, and our way of doing things and the ability to grow with us.

Because you’ll regularly work face-to-face with clients at their offices, customer service is just as important as technical skill in this role. When you walk into a client’s business, you represent Local Circuit. The number one goal of everyone on our team is to put our clients at ease and make them exceptionally happy. The IT Support Technician plays a central role in making that happen, handling first and second-level support requests, keeping tickets moving quickly, and making sure the client is informed and reassured every step of the way.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and a self-starter with excellent troubleshooting skills and strong written and verbal communication.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ( including but not limited to ):

•       Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 hardware and software support via in-person visits, phone, email, and remote

tools

•       Travel to client sites for installations, troubleshooting, and scheduled onsite support, representing

Local Circuit professionally and courteously

•       Configure, troubleshoot, isolate, repair, and resolve issues with desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile

devices, printers/scanners/copiers, AV equipment, and other peripherals

•       Configure, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues, including switches, firewalls, wireless access

points, and network-attached storage

•       Disassemble, repair, and reassemble desktop and laptop computers; examine and repair hardware

and peripheral components

•       Set up computer systems and hardware; install or reinstall software and image machines

•       Assist with new equipment installation, setup, and maintenance for workstations, printers, copiers,

and phones

•       Identify, research, and resolve technical problems, escalating when appropriate

•       Work and resolve helpdesk tickets and service requests in our ticketing system, keeping clients

informed of status and expectations throughout

•       Create documentation as needed; follow and contribute to our Standard Operating Procedures

(SOPs)

•       Follow all security procedures and keep a vigilant eye out for security issues

•       Develop and recommend procedures and controls for incident, request, and problem resolution

•       Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change

•       Participate in the rotating after-hours/weekend on-call schedule

•       Undertaking other duties as assigned by senior staff/management

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•       Must pass a government-required background check (due to our support contracts with law

enforcement agencies)

•       Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (this position involves regular onsite work at

client locations

•       Strong customer service skills — a professional, patient, client-first attitude in person, on the

phone, and in writing

•       1–5+ years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a similar role

•       Working knowledge of Windows (desktop and server), Android, and iOS

•       Experience supporting an Active Directory environment

•       Experience administering Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online and Azure/Entra ID

•       Hands-on hardware skills: laptops and desktops, machine imaging, office and network printers,

copiers, and mobile devices

•       Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools

•       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

•       A self-starter who manages time effectively without direct supervision, handles multiple priorities,

meets deadlines, and adapts to changing demands

•       Ability to lift 50 pounds

•       High school diploma or equivalent (college education preferred but not required)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ( Nice to Have - We’ll Train the Right Candidate ):

•       Prior experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP)

•       NinjaOne RMM and HaloPSA

•       Huntress, DefensX, ConnectSecure, or similar security/EDR and DNS filtering tools

•       Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive administration

•       Virtualization experience with Hyper-V and/or VMware

•       UniFi and Synology hardware

•       Backup solutions and disaster recovery

•       Zebra devices (printers/scanners/tablets) and video conference room support

•       Familiarity with CIS Controls and VoIP

•       Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications

•       Working knowledge of AI tools, such as Claude

SCHEDULE:

•       Normal operating hours are Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

•       Occasional project-based overtime

•       Rotating after-hours/weekend on-call schedule

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

•       $40,000 – $60,000 annually, based on experience
