West River Mental Health is accepting applications for a Full Time Recovery Health Care Assistant with our Full Circle Program. This positions will assist clients in meeting the case management and healthcare coordination needs that support their recovery during and after treatment at Full Circle. This position provides enhanced support for pregnant and postpartum women experiencing substance use disorders, including opioid use disorder (OUD), with a focus on continuity of care, maternal wellness, infant health, and recovery stability.

Requirements

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED and some experience preferred working in the substance abuse field. We will train in defensive driving, CPR, First Aid, and Medication Management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

1. General knowledge of substance use issues or willingness to develop an understanding.
2. Knowledge of and skill in teaching basis life skills.
3. Ability to interact professionally with clients and both internal and external customers.
4. Ability to work successfully as part of a team to include demonstrating respect and collaboration.
5. Ability to listen effectively, remain calm, and set boundaries.
6. Ability to maintain a South Dakota driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and safely operate a vehicle in all weather conditions.
7. Ability to respond to clients by phone and face to face in emergency situations.
