Overview
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Lewiston, Maine. Start date 09/28/2026 for a 13-week contract with nights (7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.), 3x12-hour shifts. Weekly pay range: $2,055–$2,225 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. This assignment places an RN in a hospital-level ED setting, delivering direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process across the unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care in the ED using the nursing process from admission through discharge or transfer.
- Assess patients on arrival and continuously monitor status, with timely escalation as needed.
- Administer IV medications, therapies, and blood products; monitor for adverse reactions and document responses.
- Educate patients and families, discharge planning, and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.
- Document nursing actions, observations, and patient responses in the chart; ensure accurate, complete records.
- May assume charge nurse and/or preceptor duties if needed, guiding junior staff and ensuring unit flow and patient safety.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license (state requirements per assignment)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- ED experience: minimum 2 years in the ED setting; at least 1 year of critical care nursing experience
- Education: RN degree (ADN or BSN)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced ED environment; eligible for travel assignments; candidate must reside outside of a 50-mile radius of the assignment location
- Orientation: Up to 16 hours unpaid
