Project Architect

Project Architect Opportunity

SNIPEBRIDGE is a strategic talent solutions company specializing in connecting exceptional talent to great career opportunities. We work as an exclusive partner to top AEC and design firms that are redefining the industry through innovation and transformative work.

Our client is a values-driven architecture, interiors and planning firm that partners with clients who want their work to make a positive impact on how people live, work, learn and connect with community and the natural environment. The firm's portfolio ranges from custom residences and interiors to mixed-use housing, education, civic, commercial and full neighborhood planning. It is led by award-winning principals with more than 30 years of combined experience. The team is curious, collaborative and growth-oriented, guided by three core values: Health, Clarity and Accountability.

The firm is seeking a Project Architect to lead projects from concept through construction. This is a role for an experienced designer who is equally comfortable mentoring a junior designer and putting their own hands on the drawing set. In a studio this size, you will move between leading and doing, and your work will directly shape both the built environment and the firm's direction. You will be the primary point of contact for clients and contractors, own technical coordination across consultants, and stay on site through construction administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple projects at once, keeping each on budget, on schedule and aligned with client goals
• Run client meetings to define requirements, expectations and project goals, and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
• Develop and present design concepts, preliminary sketches and options that translate the client's vision
• Own technical coordination of drawings and documents with internal teams and consultants, integrating structural, electrical and mechanical requirements
• Oversee plans and specifications for accuracy and compliance with codes, safety standards and local regulations
• Provide technical leadership through construction administration, including submittal review, RFIs and regular site visits
• Perform thorough QC reviews of project documentation for accuracy, completeness and quality
• Work with clients and contractors to select materials, finishes and products that meet design intent, budget and project requirements
• Partner with consulting engineers to optimize designs for efficiency and cost
• Lead design phase reviews and secure written stakeholder approvals
• Keep internal teams, consultants and contractors aligned on goals and timelines
• Mentor and coach emerging architects and designers
• Identify improvements to workflows, client interactions and design processes, and contribute to the firm's culture and knowledge base

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
• 4-10 years of professional experience in architecture or a closely related design field
• Broad architecture experience, including significant time in a project leadership role
• Demonstrated experience managing all phases of a project, from design through construction administration
• Strong command of construction documents, detailing, redlining, specifications and materials
• Working knowledge of building codes, zoning, building systems and site requirements
• Proficiency in Revit and ArchiCAD experience is a plus
• Excellent communication, facilitation and negotiation skills with clients, contractors and consultants
• Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with Monograph, Drawboard or Google Workspace is a plus
