Key Responsibilities of the MRI Technologist

• Operate imaging and related equipment to provide diagnostic images of high quality
• Interview patients to explain procedures and address any concerns
• Ensure patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications
• Communicate effectively with customers and radiologists
• Train new technologists and/or patient coordinators as needed
• Troubleshoot equipment and escalate complex issues when necessary

Requirements of the MRI Technologist

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
• AHA BLS certification
• ARRT(MR) certification
• Valid state driver's license, as applicable
• Minimum of 1-year MR experience in high-volume environments preferred
• Technical proficiency in operating vendor-specific scanning equipment
