Job Category: Resorts World Hudson Valley Requisition Number: SHIFT002884 Posted : May 7, 2026 Full-Time Locations Showing 1 location Newburgh, NY 12550, USA Travel Required : No Description Essential Duties/Core Competencies: During assigned shift, ensures all work order requests relate to mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting and other assigned areas are completed properly and timely to meet safety and service standards. Promotes and enforces safety practices and procedures within the department. Ensures effective recruitment, hiring, training, recognition, coaching, counseling and other personnel related matters are being handled appropriately throughout the departments. Facilitates and ensures that performance reviews of all employees within department are complete on a yearly basis. Prepares reports of department progress or as required by senior management. Responsible for the security of all keys issued, key in inventory, keys destroyed, and keys turned in by other employees during assigned shift. Responds to all emergencies per established procedures, provide expertise, directs team members and resources in the event of an emergency during assigned shift. Responsible for quality consistent presentation of all products delivered to guest. Assists in training, motivating and supervises staff to ensure that employees receive adequate guidance and resources to accomplish established job requirements. Implementation of new or improved best practices or procedures. Maintain ongoing knowledge of all aspects of the facilities on property. Schedules of department and enforces attendance policies. Ensures that all work is done with care and no damage occurs. Performs other tasks as assigned. Demonstrates consistent regard and dedication to guests, vendors, colleagues and the Company by being engaged, interested and productive. Demonstrates a working knowledge of our marketplace; actively and collaboratively assists in building the best practices necessary for the Company’s success. Demonstrates an understanding of the impact actions and decisions have on the Company both financially and on guest relations. Demonstrates the courage and initiative to present new ideas and perspective to create positive results. Exhibits respectful consideration of viewpoints, situations and others. Puts the guest at the forefront of every decision. Advanced knowledge of field concepts, principles, practices and procedures. Significant experience creating, tracking and controlling financial metrics. Strong supervisory and communication skills. Must have working ability with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Familiarity w/ building systems, HVAC, Plumbing, Kitchen Mechanics, etc. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily. Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver at least twenty-five (25) pounds, and varied instances of standing/walking. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions, and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other employees or guests. Fluency in English required, second language a plus. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and group situations. Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal, and work with mathematical such as probability and inference. Ability to create, read and analyze spreadsheets of statistical data. Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request.
