Details for  Reliability Engineer position: 

  • $90k-125k / Hour  
  • Full-Time | Direct-Hire

Job Duties for  Reliability Engineer position:  

  • Drive continuous improvement in equipment reliability to reduce downtime, failures, maintenance costs, and operational risk
  • Develop and implement plant wide Reliability Centered Maintenance strategies based on business needs
  • Use reliability tools, including Pareto analysis, FMEA, criticality analysis, root cause failure analysis, and data trending, to identify issues and improve asset performance
  • Lead investigations and corrective action plans for recurring equipment failures, unplanned downtime, and reliability related incidents
  • Monitor reliability KPIs, production losses, maintenance costs, PM effectiveness, and other performance metrics to identify improvement opportunities
  • Optimize preventive maintenance processes, corrective work orders, and maintenance plans to improve plant reliability and asset effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain critical equipment and priority spare parts lists, track inventory shortages, and create mitigation plans for high risk items
  • Identify, develop, and implement engineering solutions for chronic equipment, process, utility, facility, and asset reliability issues
  • Support business continuity and risk management efforts to help maintain product and service delivery during disruptive events
  • Partner with engineering, maintenance, operations, and cross functional teams to apply reliability best practices across the facility
  • Support capital projects by providing reliability data, cost analysis, design input, installation specifications, and commissioning support for new assets
  • Verify new equipment installations meet functional, reliability, and maintainability requirements before final acceptance
  • Completes any other related tasks as needed 

Qualifications and Desired Skills for  Reliability Engineer position: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with five years of relevant experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to actively listen, share information, and interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook
  • Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System, preferably TabWare or Octave Attune EAM
  • Drafting, CAD, and 3D modeling experience preferred
  • Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance technologies, including vibration analysis, balancing, thermography, ultrasound, condition monitoring, oil analysis, lubrication best practices, nondestructive testing, precision alignment, motor circuit analysis, failure analysis, and motion amplification technology
  • Experience with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, equipment inspections, and final acceptance testing preferred
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, complex processes, and maintenance data
  • Knowledge of maintenance and reliability best practices, including risk based assessment, Total Productive Maintenance, Design for Reliability, Design for Operability, Design for Maintainability, and Reliability Based Inspections
  • Ability to clearly explain complex concepts, lead group discussions, deliver presentations, and train team members
  • Strong organizational, prioritization, multitasking, and time management skills with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Self directed, highly motivated, flexible, and able to perform effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross functional teams and build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Certifications such as CMRP, CRL, CRE, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing are a plus
