About the Role As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll architect and build the AI-powered backend systems that power our causal inference engine and intelligent reliability workflows. You'll work across APIs, agentic systems, and data pipelines—collaborating closely with product and engineering to ship real customer value from early design through production. This is a high-ownership role where you'll shape the technical foundation of a fast-growing AI platform in the infrastructure foresight category. What You'll Do Architect and implement scalable backend systems for our causal AI platform Design and build APIs, services, and data pipelines that support agentic, LLM-driven workflows Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to solve real customer problems in infrastructure reliability Own features end-to-end—from early design and prototyping to production deployment and iteration Contribute to engineering best practices around reliability, performance, security, and maintainability Help define the technical direction of our core platform Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional software engineering experience Strong backend experience with Go or Python Hands-on experience building applications using Large Language Models (LLMs) in production or near-production environments Experience designing and building APIs and backend services Ability to collaborate across disciplines and translate customer needs into technical solutions Track record of taking systems from concept through production Desired Qualifications Experience building data ingestion pipelines, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures Background in DevOps, SRE, infrastructure, or security domains Working knowledge of public cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Kubernetes Experience operating production systems on-call Comfort working in early-stage, fast-moving startup environments Ability to make architectural decisions and mentor other engineers Advanced degree in Systems Engineering or AI/ML Solve hard problems: Work at the intersection of causal AI, cloud infrastructure, and reliability engineering Prevent, don't react: Build systems that stop outages before they happen—not after High ownership, real impact: Shape core product architecture from the ground up Competitive compensation: Base salary + equity + benefits (401K, medical, dental, vision) Backed by the best: Top-tier VC funding and support from leading AI research labs To Apply: Send your resume to View email address on click.appcast.io #J-18808-Ljbffr Causal Dynamics Lab
