Job Description
Job Status: Full-Time/185
Classification: Classified
Class: Non-exempt
Job Describtion:
Responsible for assisting teacher(s) in the preparation, instruction, and management of classroom activities and duties. Work under the supervision of a certified teacher.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend staff development meetings and in-service workshops.
- Maintain professional behavior, appearance, and work ethic.
- Assist teacher(s) in preparing instructional materials, classroom displays, and instructional activities.
- Provide instructional activities to individual or small groups of students.
- Assist in supervising students, both inside and outside classroom, including cafeteria, bus duty, and playground.
- Assist in maintaining a neat and orderly classroom.
- Assist in inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and minimum of 60 college hours or pass Praxis exam.
- Preferred CDA training
