About the Role
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting a CNC Operator for a precision metal fabrication shop in Salem, OR . In this fast-paced environment, you'll support the production of engineered steel components-working with cutting, forming, machining, and finishing processes-ensuring quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or lasers)
- Load raw materials, execute machine cycles, and monitor outputs
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files
- Verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or similar tools
- Make tool adjustments, handle tool offsets, and perform proof runs
- Report machine errors and maintain accurate production logs
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
- 1+ years of CNC operation experience in manufacturing or metal fabrication
- Proficiency reading blueprints and CAD/model files
- Familiarity with G/M codes and precision measuring tools
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Solid mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
