Requisition Number APT53399 Job Description Job Overview: APTIM Federal Services, LLC team has several projects at Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, San Francisco, CA. The projects will investigate, excavate, and restore properties that have environmentally and radiologically impacted soil; restore the shoreline and construct seawalls in support of the redevelopment of the San Francisco Bay waterfront. We are seeking a construction workforce who are up to the operational challenges of these high profile and critically important projects. These projects pay the Federal prevailing wage scale (Davis‑Bacon Act). Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, and compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, and rakes. Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones. Shovel cement and other materials into portable cement mixers: and mix, pour, and spread concrete. Signal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement and adjustment of machinery, equipment, and materials. Erect and disassemble shoring, braces, traffic barricades, and other temporary structures. Basic Qualifications: Possess a valid driver’s license and have acceptable driving record. Dependable transportation and cell phone service. Ability to pass pre‑employment physical and drug screen. Preferred applicant will have current OSHA HAZWOPER training. Minimum 1 year relevant construction experience and live locally (daily commute) to Hunter’s Point. To be considered, applicants must provide a resume documenting verifiable experience when applying. As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $20 per hour.
