Restaurant Host / Hostess
Canaan Chinese Cuisine is hiring Hosts and Hostesses for our upcoming grand opening in Rolling Hills Estates! We value warm hospitality, strong organization, and great team energy.
Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and welcome arriving guests and manage the waitlist and table seating rotation.
- Guide guests to tables, provide menus, and introduce daily specials or service pacing.
- Answer phone calls, assist with guest inquiries, and manage reservation requests.
- Maintain a clean, welcoming entrance, host stand, and dining room seating area.
- Complete daily opening, running, and closing checklists.
- Support other front-of-house stations and team members as needed to maintain smooth service flow.
- Perform other restaurant-related tasks and duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong verbal communication skills.
- Punctual, organized, and capable of multi-tasking in a high-volume environment.
- Full availability for mandatory pre-opening training and orientation.
- Valid California Food Handler Card.
Schedule & Pay:
- Day and evening shifts available (straight shifts, no split shifts).
- Full-Time / Part-Time.
- Hourly base wage.
