We are hiring Smoking Attendants to join our dynamic care team at Marlborough Hills Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Marlborough!

Weekly pay at $16/hour. As a Smoking Attendant, you provide the resident with a clean and orderly smoking environment.

• 12:30p- 8:30p weekdays (40 hours)

• 7a-3p Sat & Sun (16 hours)

• 12:30p-8:30p Sat & Sun (16 hours)

Experience & Education:

• On-the-job training provided.

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• The primary purpose of this job is to assist residents with smoking, lighting materials and or help with transportation to and from the designated smoking area.

• Maintain a clean designated smoking area for residents.

• Transportation of the residents to and from the designated smoking area.

• Ensuring residents maintain a safe smoking environment.

• Keeps confidential any resident information she/he overhears or comes in contact with.

• Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations.

• Other duties assigned by manager.

Specific Requirements:

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

• Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.

• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.

• Must be able to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations.

• Must be familiar with drug actions and interactions.

• Must have knowledge of restorative nursing rehabilitation policies and utilizes appropriately.

• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.

• Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices.

• Must be able to communicate effectively to appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations.
