Housekeeper
St. Thomas University
Position Summary: The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and overall appearance of assigned areas on campus, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and dormitories. This position helps ensure a clean and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors
- Empty trash and recycling bins and replace liners
- Dust furniture, window sills, and other surfaces
- Restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels)
- Clean windows, walls, and doors as needed
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards
- Follow all safety and cleaning protocols
- Assist with event setup and cleanup when required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
