Responsibilities for this position include:
• Prepare, measure, cut & spool various sizes and lengths of crane wire • Review, interpret and understand instructions and specifications of fabrication tickets along with special drawings or blueprints • Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements and select appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire rope assemblies • Setup, operate, adjust and maintain all wire rope production machines and equipment • Select, write and attach proper tags and labels to products; locate and interpret appropriate capacity tables • Count, record and report inventory as required • Perform all duties to established quality standards and report defective or substandard material supplies or products • Maintain work area, equipment and tools in a clean and organized manner, and follow all Safety Guidelines Other duties as assigned such as: • Shipping and receiving of rigging hardware and wire and accessories. • Prepare product for freight shipment, pickup or delivery To be successful in this opportunity, you will need: • Ability to read and interpret fabrication documents • Demonstrated math skills in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals are required • Demonstrated experience in quality customer service and teamwork is required. • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills are required while working with others. • Demonstrated safety and security experience in observing procedures, determine appropriate action, reporting, and safe use of equipment and materials is required. • Demonstrated dependability to follow instructions, take responsibility for actions, commit to the work to be done, and timeliness of completing work is required. • Ability to work 40 hours or more per week, including occasional weekends and holidays • Satisfactory completion of a drug screen and background screen prior to employment is required. • Strong and consistent work history required.
