Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to join our team on night shifts. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care while maintaining a professional and compassionate attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Float within units of equivalent or lower levels of acuity as necessary.
• Monitor patient conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Utilize skills in conscious sedation, ventilator management, and telemetry monitoring.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; NIH Stroke Scale certification is preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system is required.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.

Shift Details

• Night shift: 3x12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
• Schedule includes weekdays and every other weekend.
• Estimated patient ratios of 1:3.

Skills Required

• Conscious sedation management.
• Ventilator management experience.
• Telemetry monitoring proficiency.
