Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (0800–2030) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit with an average daily census of 28 patients across 30 beds
• Manage a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Participate in holiday and every-other-weekend scheduling as assigned
• Float within the Medical Surgical specialty as needed; travelers are expected to float first
• Adhere to unit dress code requirements; navy scrubs required

Required Qualifications

• Active Maryland RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• ACLS certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only
• CPI certification required – The Calm Every Storm online version is currently the only acceptable online vendor
• NIHSS certification required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (permanent address) to be eligible; locals under 50 miles are not accepted unless explicitly noted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience, particularly within Medical Surgical settings
• Comfort with floating within scope and adapting to varying unit needs without restrictions
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
