Introduction Our client is a hospital hiring an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis to join their small animal practice in Cincinnati, Ohio. This full-service animal hospital has been providing compassionate veterinary care to the community since 1968 and is seeking an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about delivering high-quality medicine and building strong client relationships. Role Description and Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian will perform comprehensive patient exams, medical work-ups, diagnostic procedures, surgery, and client education while maintaining accurate medical records and following pharmacy and controlled substance protocols. The role includes collaborating closely with experienced veterinarians, technicians, support staff, the Hospital Manager, and Regional Director to ensure high standards of patient care and hospital operations. Responsibilities also include monitoring hospitalized cases, attending daily rounds, promoting teamwork and staff efficiency, participating in management training and updates, and supporting the daily workflow from intake through discharge. The ideal candidate will have experience in small animal medicine, surgery, dentistry, and internal medicine while demonstrating excellent communication and leadership skills. Practice Details This full-service animal hospital provides a wide range of veterinary services including routine exams, vaccinations and prevention, internal medicine, dental care, geriatric care, puppy and kitten care, surgery, TPLO surgery, wound treatment, management of strains and sprains, bone fractures, osteoarthritis, degenerative joint disease, post-surgical recovery, inflammatory conditions, dental procedures, lick granuloma treatment, and inflammatory bowel disease management. Additional services include boarding and laser therapy. The hospital emphasizes integrated, multi-modal care and collaborative teamwork to deliver compassionate and professional veterinary medicine. Hospital hours are Monday from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, Tuesday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Wednesday from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, Thursday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Friday from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday from 7:30 am to 2:00 pm, and closed on Sundays. Team The hospital currently has 4 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The environment is collaborative and team-oriented, with veterinarians and support staff working closely together to provide compassionate, high-quality patient care.
