We serve a wide range of customers including public and private schools, hospitals and nursing facilities, restaurants, independent grocers, supermarket chains and specialty retailers. POSITION SUMMARY: This is a delivery position responsible for driving a 26ft Straight Truck, delivering and unloading various products for our customers. Overtime hours, working weekends and holidays, and starting at various evening start times are required in order to successfully meet customers' needs.

BENEFITS:

• CDL A Holder: $31.50 hourly pay (1 year of experience driving tractor trailer's required)
• CDL B Holder: $28.50 hourly pay (1 year of experience driving straight trucks required)
• Annual performance bonus up to $10,000

• Helper provided on route

SCHEDULES:

• Dispatch times: 5pm-8pm
• Weekends required (every Saturday and Sunday)
• Days off: Two consecutive days in the middle of the week
• Shift: 8-12 hours per day, approximately
• Stops per route: 5-10 depending on location and route
• Ability to work alone, no helper provided on route

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows.
• Maintain Department of Transportation rules
• Unloading of merchandise by the use of hand trucks
• Provide an excellent customer service experience by meeting customer needs during delivery
• 21+ years of age
• Operate 26ft. Refrigerated Straight Truck throughout NYC, NJ and Albandy, NY based on assigned route.
• Ability to work flexiable routes daily.

Position Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver License with a "clean" driving record
• Possess and able to present a valid (non-expired) interstate DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate Card
• Must be able to pass a Clearing House Query
• Ability to unload 50lbs-60lbs boxes from the truck manually
• Ability to push or pull or push 100lbs-200lbs with a hand truck
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations
