Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing Occupational Therapy services
• Plan, develop, organize, evaluate, and implement the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., of the occupational therapy program
• Interpret and/or instruct in physical therapy policies and procedure to personnel, residents, family members, etc. as necessary
• Participate in discharge planning, development and implementation of resident care plans, resident assessments, etc. as necessary
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants as required
• Maintain treatment records, resident files, and progress notes as required and maintain an adequate liaison with families and residents

Requirements:

• Current license and registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist, OT in the State of NY
• Current malpractice insurance, license in good standing
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary compassionate care as an Occupational Therapist, OT
• Energetic, enthusiastic, committed, & passionate about quality care
• Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, & sometimes challenging residents
• Patience, a cheerful disposition, & willingness to assist any residents & co-workers
• Excellent communication, customer service, & organization skills
• Trusted to work independently & in a team environment
• Able to work well under pressure, flexible, & will work harmoniously with all staff
• Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDC
