Job Title Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery Location Santa Maria, CA | Acute Care Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in a combined Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit, supporting a high-volume environment of approximately 250 births per month Manage laboring patients at a 2:1 ratio following AWHONN guidelines, and couplet care at a 1:4 ratio Circulate for C-sections as required; scrubbing experience is preferred Perform fetal monitoring using the Fetal Link system and document care using Cerner EMR Care for a diverse patient population including antepartum, high-risk deliveries, pre-eclampsia, substance abuse, and insulin-dependent diabetics across any gestational age Float to Postpartum as needed; Postpartum nurses will not be required to float to L&D Required Qualifications Active RN license valid in California BLS certification required ACLS certification required AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required for L&D NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required for Postpartum C-section circulation experience required Preferred Experience / Skills C-section scrubbing experience preferred Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Fetal Link fetal monitoring systems Experience caring for high-risk OB patients including pre-eclampsia, antepartum, and substance abuse populations Why Join Us Work alongside a well-supported team including OB techs on both day and night shifts, Respiratory Therapy available 24/7, and Pharmacy available 24/7 Scrubs provided, with a structured 3-shift unit-specific orientation to set you up for success About Concentric Healthcare Staffing Founded and headquartered in Scottsdale, AZ, Concentric Healthcare Staffing specializes in healthcare employment with an emphasis in nursing and allied health.
