About the Position

Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: RN Telemetry I Specialty: RN Telemetry I Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of acute care hospital experience preferred License: Active RN License Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Must be willing to float to different units - Experience in telemetry monitoring, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips Description: This position requires floating throughout various Med/Surg Tele areas. Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring and managing cardiac drips. The clinician will be responsible for reading telemetry strips every four hours. Expect a clinician to patient ratio of 5:1 during the day and evening shifts, and up to 6:1 at night. Care will include ED border patients and those in acute mental health units. Applicants must have experience with TR Band and be capable of managing non-vented patients who are transfer ready from the ICU. Experience as a traveler is also preferred. Candidates must have the ability to work a rotation of day, evening, and night shifts as required. Familiarity with EPIC or similar EMR systems is necessary.
