Drywall Estimator

Professional Development & Industry Training Company Overview: Tiello is partnered with a respected commercial drywall and interior systems contractor specializing in large-scale projects across sectors including healthcare, education, multifamily, hospitality, and commercial office. Due to continued growth and a strong backlog of negotiated and bid work, the team is looking to add an experienced Drywall Estimator to support preconstruction efforts and help secure upcoming projects. Position Summary The Drywall Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial interior systems projects including metal framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, insulation, and specialty assemblies. This role works closely with operations, project management, and leadership to support successful project pursuits from concept through award. This is a true estimating role with visibility into high-value commercial projects and opportunities for long-term growth within a stable contractor environment. Key Responsibilities Perform quantity takeoffs for drywall, framing, ceilings, insulation, and related scope Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents Prepare conceptual, budget, and hard bid estimates Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing Identify scope gaps, risk factors, and value engineering opportunities Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during handoff Participate in preconstruction meetings and bid reviews Track bid status and maintain estimating documentation Support negotiated and design-assist pursuits when applicable Qualifications 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial drywall or interior systems Strong understanding of metal stud framing, drywall assemblies, and acoustical ceilings Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Experience pricing large-scale commercial projects preferred Proficiency in Bluebeam required Experience with OST, QuickBid, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or similar estimating platforms preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Project Experience Experience estimating projects such as: Hospitals and healthcare facilities Multifamily developments Corporate interiors Hospitality construction Data centers or mission-critical environment Why This Role Stands Out Strong pipeline of awarded and upcoming work Mix of negotiated and competitive bid projects Leadership visibility and advancement opportunities Stable contractor with repeat clients Competitive compensation and bonus structure Legal & EEO Language: Tiello LLC is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
