Rate: $30 - $35/hour
Position Summary
Phoenix Staff is seeking a detail-oriented CAD / GIS Technician to support an active construction and engineering team on a part-time basis. This position will assist with maintaining, updating, and organizing project drawings and mapping data to support ongoing field and office operations.
The ideal candidate has experience working with AutoCAD and/or GIS software, enjoys working with technical drawings and spatial data, and can effectively manage multiple priorities in dynamic team environment.
Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain CAD drawings and GIS mapping data.
- Assist with revisions to project plans, layouts, and supporting documentation.
- Organize and maintain drawing files and project records.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and field personnel to incorporate design updates.
- Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Support ongoing construction and infrastructure projects with drafting and mapping needs.
- Perform other related technical drafting and GIS support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience using AutoCAD and/or GIS software in a professional environment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, maps, and construction documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional project teams.
- Prior experience supporting construction, engineering, utilities, or infrastructure projects is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with both AutoCAD and GIS platforms.
- Exposure to civil, construction, land development, or infrastructure projects.
- Associate's degree or technical training in drafting, GIS, engineering technology, or a related field is preferred.
