Role Overview

As a Nurse Manager in the Emergency Department, you will lead and manage the delivery of patient care, ensuring it aligns with departmental and health system policies. You will provide administrative and clinical leadership, fostering a collaborative multidisciplinary approach to improve patient care services. Your role is vital in empowering staff to implement innovative care models and ensuring the department operates efficiently and effectively.

What You Will Do

• Lead, manage, develop, supervise, and evaluate the delivery of patient care within the Emergency Department.
• Provide administrative and clinical leadership, working in partnership with nursing and the healthcare team.
• Facilitate the empowerment of staff in implementing creative and innovative patient care delivery models.
• Stimulate a collaborative multidisciplinary team approach in the continuous improvement of patient care services.
• Assume responsibility for fiscal management of the Emergency Department in conjunction with the Administrator.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in nursing or related field.
• Three to five years of progressively more responsible experience demonstrating leadership skills in a clinical setting.
• Successful completion of Henry Ford Hospital Pharmacology test.
• Current license to practice in the State of Michigan as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS/ACLS certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or equivalent.
