Position Summary Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as injection molding, compression molding, mixing, milling and extruding machines. Responsibilities Perform electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance to injection molding, compression molding, mixing, milling and extruding machines. Repair auxiliary equipment such as mold heaters, ovens, loaders, spoolers, pumps, and parts conveyors by dismantling, cleaning and replacing worn or defective parts and assemblies Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove and replace any defective parts Work cross functionally with Process/Automation Engineers and Technicians to develop new machines and make process improvements Support continuous improvement through LEAN and HPT. May be required to research part availability and initiates purchase order for needed repair parts. Perform preventive maintenance and repair on all equipment related to Injection Molding, Compression Molding, and Extruders. Perform building maintenance as required. Other duties as required. Qualifications Must possess High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Active Massachusetts Journeyman or Master electrician license preferred Active Massachusetts 2nd Class Fireman License or 3rd Class Engineer license preferred Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, basic electrical, and PLC logic is preferred. Must have good mechanical skills, trouble shooting ability Strong communication skills, written as well as verbal. Must be a US Citizen or have US Permanent Resident Status.
