Description JOB TITLE: Direct Support Professional – In-Home Services DEPARTMENT: Community Resources SUPERVISOR’S TITLE: In-Home Services Regional Manager or In-Home Services Manager/SFC POSITIONS SUPERVISED: None JOB STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt and Part-Time, Non-Exempt SCHEDULE: Schedule varies; Overtime hours currently available (although not guaranteed) Summary: Provide individualized, in-home and community-based support to individuals with disabilities. This role focuses on promoting independence, developing life skills, and supporting individuals in achieving personal goals while remaining in their home environment. Key Responsibilities: Assess individual needs and assist in developing and implementing individualized service plans Provide training in daily living skills, including personal care, communication, and social development Support individuals in accessing community resources and participating in community activities Assist with household tasks, organization, and maintaining a safe home environment Escort individuals to medical appointments and community activities as needed Support individuals with correspondence, budgeting, and bill paying when necessary Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and outcomes in compliance with regulations Develop materials and maintain supplies to support individual goals Act as a resource to families, caregivers, and other team members Promote independence, self-advocacy, and personal growth Maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, and community partners Remain flexible to meet the needs of individuals served Qualifications & Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently in home and community settings Empathy and ability to support individuals with diverse needs Strong organizational and documentation skills Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and families Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and data entry) Physical & Work Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds Frequent bending, stooping, and assisting individuals with mobility Ability to travel between client homes and community locations Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required Certifications & Training Requirements: CPR and First Aid certification Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) Certified Restraint Training (CRT) Medication Administration (Core A & B) Completion of required trainings $350 Sign-on Bonus eligible position. Must be scheduled for a minimum of 20 hours/week to be eligible for the sign-on bonus. Requirements Education/Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
