Project Engineer - Gas Transmission

Location Norfolk, VA; Richmond, VA; Washington DC; Fredericksburg, VA; Newport News, VA; Chesapeake, VA; Virginia Beach, VA; Petersburg, VA; Bethesda, MD Job Overview As our Gas Project Engineer, you will lead and manage 5-10 large-scale gas transmission projects, ensuring on-time completion and adherence to success criteria while maintaining clear communication across teams, clients, and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead strategic oversight of project schedules, budgets, and risk management. Coordinate and support cross-functional teams and client engagements. Maintain project documentation, schedules, and deliverables using Microsoft Office, MS Projects, and utility-based GIS applications. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, safety, and quality protocols. Build and sustain strong client relationships through effective communication. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited institution in engineering or related field. 3-10 years of experience in the gas utilities sector. Proven experience managing and leading a project team. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Projects, and a utility-based GIS application. Professional Engineer (PE) license or actively pursuing it. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Benefits & Salary This position offers an annual salary range of $83,000 to $115,000, with potential for discretionary bonus.
