Work Environment

The position is full-time and based onsite at our hospital facility in Peekskill. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a supportive, collaborative environment. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive patient evaluations.
• Deliver hands-on therapy interventions, which include therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities aimed at promoting healing and restoring functional mobility.
• Monitor patient progress throughout their rehabilitation journey, documenting changes and advising the Physical Therapist on necessary adjustments to treatment protocols.
• Educate patients and their families on effective exercise techniques, self-care strategies, and preventive measures to avoid further injury.
• Participate in team meetings and collaborative discussions with healthcare professionals to ensure holistic treatment approaches for each patient.
• Maintain meticulous records of patient therapy sessions and treatment outcomes in compliance with facility policies and state regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic focuses primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with a diverse patient population, including athletes of all ages, postoperative individuals, and those suffering from chronic pain. Your ability to develop rapport and provide empathetic care will be crucial in supporting their physical and emotional recovery.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is required.
• A current, active state license as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in orthopedic settings, demonstrating a solid understanding of patient care pathways.
• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is essential for effective treatment planning and patient education.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills necessary for effective collaboration with patients and healthcare teams.

Preferred Experience

While we require a minimum of two years of orthopedic experience, candidates with additional certifications in manual therapy or specialized orthopedic rehabilitation techniques will be highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits
