Family Pastor First Baptist Church of Sedalia

First Baptist Church of Sedalia is looking to hire a Family Pastor, which is a full-time pastoral leadership role with the primary function of ministering to and having comprehensive oversight over children, youth, and their families. Candidates must hold to biblical inerrancy, authority, and sufficiency, as well as affirm the Baptist, Faith, and Message 2000. Candidates must be devoted to Christ through God’s Word and willing to boldly proclaim unpopular truth from the Scripture. Candidates must also desire to patiently pursuing the hearts of children, youth, and their parents for Christ. The primary responsibilities of the Family Pastor will be leading families of youth and children. The Family Pastor will primarily minister to the youth and parents through the work of leading and teaching. In addition to youth work, the Family Pastor will oversee the children’s ministry, including our children’s staff. The Family Pastor will also serve on the pastoral team and will preach, teach, counsel, and complete various pastoral duties in the church. The primary qualifications for the Family Pastor are the biblical elder qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus1:5-9. Qualified candidates will prioritize spiritual fidelity in their personal walk with the Lord, desire to serve the Lord faithfully both publicly and privately, and humbly lead others through Christ-like sacrificial leadership. #J-18808-Ljbffr
