# Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** September 7, 2026 **Location:** Corpus Christi, Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Day and night shifts available; 1:4 patient ratio for low acuity patients (ESI 4 & 5)

Highlights:

• 16-bed emergency department with 8 hall chairs, treating ESI levels 5 through 1
• Collaborative team environment with 6-7 staff members per shift including charge nurse, triage, and support staff
• Modern equipment including cardiac monitors, Baxter IV pumps, and integrated vital signs documentation
• EMR: Meditech with streamlined charting capabilities
• Facility transitioning from Level IV to Level II trauma designation
• Strong focus on timely care for Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, and Trauma patients

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Texas
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC or ENPC certification required
• Level II or Level III trauma experience strongly preferred
• Minimum two years of emergency department experience preferred
• CEN, TCRN, or CPI certification preferred
• Demonstrated compassion, urgency, and teamwork skills essential

Scope of Practice:

• Comprehensive patient assessments and documentation
• Medication administration and wound care management
• IV insertion, splinting, and lab specimen collection
• Care coordination across all acuity levels
• Participation in mandatory shift huddles and EMTALA training
