Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver OTR (Over-the-Road) with a CDL A license and become a vital part of our nationwide logistics network! This role offers the exciting opportunity to operate tractor-trailers across long distances, delivering freight efficiently and safely to various destinations. You will be the backbone of our supply chain, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across multiple states, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport a variety of freight including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and roll-off trucks to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of freight
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load securement
- Follow planned routes efficiently, managing delivery schedules while adjusting for traffic or weather conditions
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage, and freight delivery details in compliance with federal regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license with proven experience in commercial driving and route driving across long distances
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks comfortably and safely
- Experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, power-only or roll-off trucks is highly desirable
- Prior delivery driver experience with a focus on load & unload procedures and freight handling
- Familiarity with forklift operation for loading/unloading cargo when necessary
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to tractor-trailer operation and freight transportation
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings required for commercial drivers
