Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Every Other Weekend Required | No On-Call

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care for patients presenting with MI, CHF, arrhythmias, PVD, and med/surg overflow utilizing the full nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Manage and monitor cardiac drips per appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and treatment effectiveness
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol and accurately document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education; identify issues and connect patients with resources
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations

Required Qualifications

• Active RN License in state of employment or valid compact license
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1–6:1 depending on staffing
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR
• Ceil blue scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a telemetry or related nursing specialty
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Experience managing cardiac drips in a telemetry or step-down setting
