We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business.The Shipping and Receiving Specialist Lead is responsible for performing all shipping and receiving administrative and operational functions to ensure order fulfillment, customer satisfaction, and inventory accuracy. This role requires a candidate to apply attention to detail while executing daily tasks outlined by leadership and maintain a high level of organization.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee department trainingEnsure daily shipping targets and production support requirements are metDevelop process for operational excellenceUpdate daily tier board and hold daily huddlesServe as first point of contact for team questions, issues, and escalationsProvide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team membersLead daily activities of shipping and receiving personnel to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to scheduleAssign and prioritize workload based on production and customer requirementsCreate and track daily dispatch for fleet including maintaining digital recordsTrack inbound and outbound deliveriesLoad and unload fleet and freight, handle material movement with forklift or drum dolly within facilityWork with third party logistic companies to assign freight and efficiently manage order flowAssist drivers with proper labeling and placarding of intermodal, interstate, and intercontinental hazardous and non-hazardous chemical shipmentsAudit and clear shipments for transportOrganize and assemble paperwork for work packets to be used in the facility for orders in the systemOrganize freight vendors for loading and sign-in for goods and maintaining signaturesCollect and maintain signatures for pickups based on directives from the Warehouse leadership teamDemonstrate advance proficiency with all Warehouse software and functions in D365Drive process improvementsEffectively, timely, and respectfully communicate and interact with other employees, supervisors, individuals from other organizations, and customersComply with Company policies and procedures to ensure efficient and consistent warehouse operationsComply with all safety, regulatory, and company requirementsPerform other duties as assigned or neededRegular and sustained attendanceQualificationsThree years experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility preferredExperience with warehouse management softwareKnowledge of HAZMAT products and regulations is requiredEffective verbal and written communication skillsStrong numeracy skills and attention to detailProven problem-solving skillsDemonstrate professionalism at all timeIntermediate proficiency with Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics [D365]Must be able to read and write load diagrams, shipping orders, and work instructionsAbility to collaborate effectively and efficiently with colleaguesEffective communication skills and time managementOccasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.Specific vision requirements include color visionAbility to stand and/or walk for extended periods of timeExcellent interpersonal skills; effective verbal and written communication skillsForklift certified with at least one year of experienceAble to lift 50 pounds comfortably and safelyMust be able to move 500 pound drum dolly around the warehouseEducation RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED EquivalentOther InformationThis position works in an enclosed building that is subject to variances in temperatures, frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions (non-weather); fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme heat (non-weather), extreme heat in summer, colder temperatures in winter, and loud noise levels.
