Job Description: Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant
Location: Vivo Healthcare Normandy

Overview:
Vivo Healthcare Normandy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The PTA will work closely with physical therapists to provide exceptional care to our residents, helping them achieve their highest functional potential in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans designed to improve residents' mobility, strength, and overall functional ability.

• Conduct therapy sessions in accordance with the care plan and under the supervision of the physical therapist.

• Monitor and document residents' progress during therapy sessions and report changes to the physical therapist.

• Educate residents and their families on exercises, home programs, and strategies to maintain and improve physical health.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure a holistic approach to care.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies.

• Uphold safety standards and infection control practices to ensure a safe therapy environment.

• Participate in facility meetings, training, and other professional development activities as required.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of practice.

• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare setting is preferred but not required.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
