Supervisor I, Accounts Payable & RMA

A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment; prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms and process payments (checks, ACH & credit card), and (ii) Ensure accurate processing of general and administrative expenses, including the payment of invoices and assessment against general ledger from prior periods.Requires Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable experience; familiarity with prepaids and accruals and a minimum of an Associate degree or equivalent experience.ResponsibilitiesOversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable team ensuring timely payments and proper coding of invoices and coordinate and assign work as neededReview all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment; prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms and process payments (checks, ACH & credit card)Oversees and participates in reviews and reconciliation of vendor accounts on an ongoing basisEnsure accurate processing of general and administrative expenses, including the payment of invoices and assessment against general ledger from prior periodsAssess current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend and implement new solutionsDevelop and maintain relationships with Area Managers, Branch Managers, and Purchasing Department to resolve receipt of goods problems and pricing variancesDevelop and maintain relationships with suppliers and work to resolve any discrepancies in records and properly onboard new suppliersEnsure RMA process flows smoothly; process authorizations, track item returns, and ensure proper credits are issued to CPSG and customer within the established timelinesEnsure files are maintained and documented thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practicesReconcile accounts payable to the general ledger as part of month end closing processesComply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teamsProtect CPSG’s reputation by keeping information confidentialMaintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societiesContribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as neededMotivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team membersDrive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policiesMaintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communicationsLead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the CPSG mission, vision and values.Minimum QualificationsEducation/Certifications:Associate degree or equivalent experienceExperience:Minimum 5 years of Accounts Payable experience; familiarity with prepaids and accrualsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Advanced knowledge in Excel and Word, 10-key by touch; thorough understanding of accounting principles; thorough knowledge of applicable accounts payable/ general ledger systems and procedures, financial chart of accounts and corporate procedures#LI-HybridThe pay range for this position is $67,600.00 - $109,225.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
