  • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including methodologies such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).

  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at guiding patients through their trauma processing journey, helping them create effective coping strategies, and encouraging holistic healing.

  • Engage collaboratively with psychiatrists and other key professionals to provide integrated patient care aligned with best practices in trauma treatment.

  • Offer crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patients receive immediate help and guidance.

  • Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them to access available support resources.

  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and confidential documentation of all clinical encounters, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

  • Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities centered on trauma-informed care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

  • Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Georgia.

  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience, demonstrating a solid background in mental health counseling.

  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders along with robust knowledge of trauma-informed treatment modalities and resilience-building approaches.

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering trauma-focused interventions.
  • \n
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate, client-centered, and non-judgmental approach.

  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-stress situations.
  • \n
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and managing administrative tasks related to patient care.

  • Capacity to work collaboratively in a cross-disciplinary team setting.

Preferred Experience\n

Preference will be given to candidates with specific experience delivering trauma-informed therapies and a background in working with diverse populations. Experience in facilitating both individual and group therapy, as well as involvement in crisis intervention services, is highly desirable.
