Wastewater Operations Team Lead

Education & Experience A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the wastewater industry 2+ years in a supervisor role Have an appropriate wastewater license Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite Physical Requirements Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds Must be able to stoop, bend, and kneel to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections Must be able to walk through a large facility Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to work in an environmental setting Responsibilities & Capabilities Team Member Supervisory Responsibilities Leadership, management, and accountability for designated Wastewater Operations Specialists Complete quarterly one on ones with team members Run wastewater treatment plants within permit limits Support the Director of Operations Alternate wastewater operations scheduler Manage wastewater contractors Be Action Oriented: Enjoy working hard; be full of energy for the things you see as challenging, not fearful of acting with a minimum of planning; seize more opportunities than others Be Customer Focused: Be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; listen intently, get first‑hand customer information, and use it for improvements in products and services; act with customers in mind; establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and gain their trust and respect.
