Position Security Officer Patrol Support in Gilroy, CA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication. Position Type Part Time Pay Rate $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule Tuesday and Wednesday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM What You\'ll Do Provide customer service to visitors, customers, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a retail location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor customer and employee activity, access points, and high-traffic areas to support loss prevention efforts and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or hazards. Assist with opening and closing activities, monitor alarms and/or cameras when assigned, and support crowd management during busy shopping periods, special events, and/or peak business hours. Minimum Requirements Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
