Position Overview Join the Gino Merli Veterans' Center as a Registered Nurse with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. Duties Resident Care: Provide nursing treatment, monitor conditions, and update care plans based on resident needs Medication Oversight: Dispense medications, review records, and check that assigned personnel follow proper procedures Team Leadership: Guide staff, assign tasks, and address concerns to maintain safe and effective care Communication Duties: Share important changes with supervisors, physicians, and families as needed Safety Practices: Follow all safety rules, report hazards, and use required protective equipment Documentation Tasks: Maintain accurate records, complete assessments, and support audits and reviews Work Hours & Additional Information Full-time employment (12 hours/day; 37.5 hours/week) Positions are available on: 2nd shift (6:30 PM - 7:30 AM) with a 30-minute lunch Working 2 week schedule: Mon, Thur, Fri, Sat, Tue, Fri Telework: You will no6t have the option to telework in this position Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $84,264.00 (before taxes) DMVA is pleased to announce the launch of a Nursing Referral Program, promoting the hiring and retention of nursing staff at Pennsylvania’s veterans homes.
