System Administrator

Talascend is currently seeking a System Administrator for a contract opportunity with our client in Indianapolis, Indiana . Overview This role involves managing and troubleshooting Microsoft Intune environments within an enterprise setting, while supporting desktop support, endpoint management, security compliance, and network challenges. It requires owning problems end-to-end to ensure operational efficiency and security compliance in a federally regulated environment. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and resolve Intune-related issues, including device configuration, policy application, compliance failures, and software deployment. Provide hands‑on desktop support in an enterprise environment, including OS, hardware, and user‑facings issues. Diagnose and address network connectivity issues such as access restrictions, firewall rules, DNS, VPN, IP/Port/URL filtering. Navigate and resolve security and compliance challenges, including endpoint hardening, policy enforcement, and audit readiness. Operate effectively across multiple functions—including endpoint management, support, security, and asset management—without relying on rigid team boundaries. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in information systems or relevant field. 3+ years of practical experience in the field. Ability to obtain public trust clearance. Ability to self‑manage work tasks using M365 tools. Proven ability to independently resolve issues and improve day‑to‑day operations. Hands‑on experience administering or operating network access controls (IP:Port or URL filters). Experience managing enterprise desktops within a Microsoft Intune‑managed environment. Troubleshooting and administering Windows OS in an enterprise environment. Understanding of regulatory controls, baselines, and security policies within Azure Entra and Intune environments. Located near Indianapolis, IN and willingness to be on‑site in support of the mission. Preferred Qualifications Technical experience with Intune, with detailed descriptions of tasks performed. Background Check and Drug Screen may be required.
