We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Payroll Specialist to join our team. This position plays an important role in ensuring our staffing associates are paid accurately and on time while supporting payroll compliance and overall payroll operations.

What You'll Do

As our Payroll Specialist, you will:

• Process, maintain, and reconcile weekly payroll for staffing associates
• Ensure employees are properly set up for payroll
• Review and validate timesheets from both manual and electronic timekeeping systems
• Communicate with associates to identify and resolve payroll discrepancies
• Maintain accurate payroll records, including W-4s, pay preferences, and other required documentation
• Review employee pay rates for accuracy
• Administer payroll deductions, including garnishments and child support
• Manage benefit deductions and payroll-related updates
• Work within our ATS and back-office payroll systems
• Manage Vendor Management Systems (VMS) and third-party vendor processes
• Audit payroll processes and records to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Cross-train on additional payroll functions and provide backup support to the Senior Payroll Administrator

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of payroll and/or administrative experience OR an Associate degree
• Previous experience in staffing, manufacturing, or distribution is strongly preferred
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
• Comfortable learning and working within payroll, ATS, and other technology platforms
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling employee and payroll information
