Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, preventive, and reactive maintenance on conveyors, press machines, rollers, and related production equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and repair or replace defective components to minimize downtime.
• Conduct bench rebuilding activities, including installing new bearings on spindles, rebuilding water jets, and completing motor replacements.
• Respond to machine breakdowns promptly and restore equipment to safe and reliable operating condition.
• Troubleshoot motors using a multimeter to test voltage and identify electrical or mechanical faults.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to service and maintain industrial machinery.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to extend equipment life and reduce unexpected failures.
• Support basic electrical troubleshooting, including working with PLC-controlled equipment and 480V systems where applicable.
• Document maintenance activities accurately and communicate equipment status to supervisors and team members.
• Follow all safety procedures and best practices while working on mechanical and electrical systems.

Work Environment

This is a first-shift position, working Monday through Friday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with an expectation of approximately 6 to 10 hours of overtime per week based on operational needs. The role is based in an industrial facility with active production equipment such as conveyors, press machines, rollers, and motors. The environment is hands-on and tool-intensive, requiring regular use of mechanical and electrical diagnostic equipment, including multimeters. Team members work closely with other maintenance and production staff in a setting that emphasizes safety, reliability, and efficient equipment operation.

This is a Permanent position based out of South Hackensack, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $62000.00 - $73000.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in South Hackensack,NJ.

This position is anticipated to close on Jul 10, 2026.
