Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 Year Required License: New York License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: Mandatory competency in phlebotomy and placing IVs Willingness to float when needed Availability for every other weekend Description: Position for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse. Ideal candidates should have at least one year of experience. First-timers are accepted. Candidates need certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS. Patient ratios are 1 to 5 with mixed/shared acuity levels. Candidates must demonstrate competency in phlebotomy and starting IVs. Occasional floating may be required when census demands. Minimal time off requests are preferred. Staffing includes support from various interdisciplinary teams. Daily census is approximately 64 patients. The unit accommodates a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. Candidates should be familiar with general emergency department procedures and protocols. Charting experience in the required system is preferred.
